As you may or may not have realised winter for me is all about food. My garden is being a little neglected at the moment due to the weather we have been having. Heavy rain, freezing wind, thunder and lightning puts me off going out and seeing how my plants are doing. I actually feel a little guilty for not tending to them daily like I normally do, hopefully I will get out there in the next few days.
I’ve decided to start a new series on here which will be an ongoing process I’m calling it Raiding the Recipe Box because well I have this box that my nana gave me a long time ago that is full of recipes. I find that older recipes sometimes make for very interesting meals that people would not think of making these days. The box I think was originally a Australian Women’s Weekly thing where you collected all the recipes in a series maybe or maybe just got the box with a subscription either way it covers absolutely everything and has some hand written cards someone has added over time which I am not sure where they came from.
So how it is going to go is I am going to randomly pick out a recipe and share it with you under the title Raiding The Recipe Box- (title of recipe). I assure you some of these are very strange recipes which may seem rather out there but interesting none the less.
